Clearly Whimsy Stamps DT inspiration

Happy Saturday everyone!

Before we get to this week's Clearly Whimsy Stamps DT inspiration, we have a few announcements to make.

As we reach the end of January, sadly we are saying goodbye to the amazingly talented Amy Kolling, Heather Pulvirenti and Simonne Clay (from the Clearly Whimsy Stamps DT), as they move onto pastures new. It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know them. We have loved every minute of working with them and they will be greatly missed. Amy, Heather and Simonne - thank you for all the time, commitment, talent and friendship you have shared with Whimsy. We all wish you the very best! Big Whimsy hugs to you all!

You may have noticed during our most recent CWS release that we have a fantastic new addition to the Clearly Whimsy Stamps DT - Kristie Goulet.   Kristie is such an amazing talent and we are thrilled that she has joined our clear team.  Welcome to Whimsy, Kristie!

To date, the very talented Simonne Clay (from SC Design) has been the sole artist of our wonderful Clearly Whimsy Stamps line of stamps and dies, as well as the DT Coordinator and regular DT member of the CWS DT.  As Simonne's work commitments have now changed, sadly she is no longer able be a regular artist at Whimsy, but will hopefully continue to design for us on a more ad hoc basis moving forward.  So from our next clear release in March, we will have a new artist designing for our regular bi-monthly CWS releases.  We hope you will love the new designs as much as you love the existing ones!  And don't worry - we will continue to sell all the stamp and die designs Simonne has designed for us to date! :)

Finally, here is our gorgeous weekly inspiration from our Clearly Whimsy Stamps DT.

Sally

Good morning everyone!  I hope your week has been going well and you have some great plans for the weekend.  It's Shelby with you today to bring you a little bit of inspiration for your Thursday.

I'm sure you were able to join us last week for the reveal of the awesome new stamps and dies!

This adorable sweetie is from the brand spankin' new artist at Whimsy, Lizzy Love, and called Sally Hangs Her Heart on a String.  The sentiment is also from the new release and is by Denise Lynn called Simply Stitched Circles.

Here's a close up of Sally so you can see how sweet she really is.  I had a play around with some alcohol inks to create the background.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Asian Beauty

Hello Whimsy Fans I hope are you all well today
this is my first post as part of this amazing DT.

I would like to share with you lovely peeps
a card I made for our blog hop she is called
Asian Beauty, and she is Illustrated by the artist  Mi Ran.

I loved colouring this stamp, there was so much going on
it really pushed my colouring skills, she did take a few hours but
I think she was well worth it .

I coloured her with Copics and made an Origami frame to
finish her.

Here is a tutorial on how to make the frame

Step 1:  Your start your frame with the basic Tea bag fold folding
it corner to corner, you should then have a piece of paper thats
divided into quarters.

Step 2:   You then turn the paper over so that the pattern is on the bottom
then fold in all of the corners to the middle, so you get a smaller square.

Step 3:  You then turn the paper over so than the corners you just folded
are on the under side and repeat the process of folding your corners
 into the middle once more.

Step 4:  Just fold back the quarters in equal steps and voila
the frame is finished,  just tuck your coloured image
underneath the fold backs.

Meanwhile over at the Challenge blog Whimsy fans
if you joined us last month you will have to stop by and see if
your our lucky winner, and why not
join us again at Midday with our new challenge,
so why not  join in the fun.
There is lots of amazing inspiration from
my very talented team mates, and another
 fabulous prize up for grabs.

Have a fun day my lovelies

Music Girl!

Hi Everyone! It's Shannah here today to share some Whimsy Inspiration with you!

For today's card I have used the fun new 'Music Girl' stamp from Time 4 Tea Designs, available from Whimsy Stamps.

The image was stamped twice with Memento ink, coloured with Copic markers, and fussy cut. I then double mounted the image onto layers of papers from a digital kit.

I also printed several of the kit elements which I also fussy cut and added to the card as
embellishments.

Hope you like my card!
You can see more details on my Blog;  Embellished ExpresShan's.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Crateful of Kittens

Hello Whimsy fans! Ellie here today, it's my turn to share a creation with you. If you have hopped with us last week, then you will probably remember seeing my card along your way. I made it with one of the new stamps illustrated by Crissy Armstrong.
Aren't they adorable! I just couldn't resist these cuties, and luckily was able to add it to my January stamp selection.

The image has been colored using copics and colored pencils. Papers are just some old ones from my stash. The sentiment is from an older Whimsy Stamp set.

Clearly Whimsy Stamps January 2015 release - Sneak Peek Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to the Day 2 of the
Clearly Whimsy Stamps January 2015 release

We are releasing 6 new clear stamp sets and 8 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they are available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store RIGHT NOW and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers tomorrow!!

GET WELL SOON is a 4x6 " stamp set that includes 18 different stamps.  We have 2 forms of bandaid - one that stamps an outline for you to colour, and another which is a solid stamp for stamping with coloured inks.  The cross, heart and rectangle stamps all fit in the aperture of both bandaids.  GET WELL SOON ADDITIONS is a 3x4" standalone stamp that can also be used as a companion to the larger 4x6" stamp set.  It includes 12 different stamps: a pill bottle, a pill bottle label, 3 different shapes of pills, a cartoon germ, and 6 different sentiments.

We have 2 die sets to coordinate with these stamp sets. The GET WELL SOON die set cuts out all of the images in the corresponding stamp set with the exception of the heartbeat.  Also included is a standalone bandaid die complete with pierced holes! We have also included the top handle and bottom rubber bung of the crutch, so that you can either the main die to cut out the stamped image, or use the 3 pieces on their own to contstruct a crutch without the stamped image.  The GET WELL SOON ADDITIONS die set coordinates with the matching stamp set, but is also a standalone set.  The pill bottle and label dies cut out the corresponding stamps, but if you pair them with the embossed bottle cap, they can be used on their own without the stamps.  The pill dies have been designed so that you can construct the capsule pill from 2 different cardstocks and layer them together.

The BASIC BORDERS & BACKGROUNDS 2 4x6" stamp set builds on the previously released borders and backgrounds set.  This set includes lots of geometric stamps for stamping your own borders and backgrounds, including a herringbone design and the very popular argyle design.  The larger argyle solid diamonds have been designed so there is a gap between each diamond, so that you may stamp them in 2 different alternating colours if you so wish.

Finally, we have 2 standalone dies/diet set.  The BASIC BORDERS TRIO die set is a great set of 6" border dies that includes a tiny scallop border, a tiny zigzag border and a bracket shape.  The LOVE LARGE WORD die is the latest addition to our ever popular large word dies.  It is in a gorgeous freehand script, and also works with some of the sentiments in the new GET WELL SOON ADDITIONS 3x4" stamp set.

We are running a special promotion until Sunday 18th January, and have discounted everything in this release by 10%!! Whimsy also offers FREE SHIPPING for US orders over $75.
