Bunny Love

Hi Friends,
Welcome to last post for 2017 at Whimsy Stamps.
I love the versatility of the images and all the releases have been  so different from each other. It gave me opportunity to have more fun with my colouring mediums and style.

For today I used the Bunny Love Stamp set and I love the innocence on the girls face. I tried to create a fur on the bunny but using small dots that added texutre.I used a circle die to cut the image and sponged some blue ink to add the background. I used a beautiful pattern paper by Tracy to complete the card. I fussy cut a little butterfly from the same paper and used it to embelish the girl's hair. Added a simple sentiment and that finished my card.

I hope you liked this card.
Wishing you all a very HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR !
Happy crafting!!
Hugs

Last 2017 Christmas card, and a video too

Hello everyone, hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas.  Here’s my very last Christmas card for 2017, and I’ve made a video tutorial of how I put the card together.

I’ve used more of the exquisite digital papers from Whimsy Stamps that’ve been designed by Tracy.  Love, love, love these gorgeous shabby patterns.  I’ll pop the links to the products and also the video at the end of the post.

I made foamiran flowers – a poinsettia and some mini.  There are videos on my channel for the Poinsettia tutorial and also the Easy Foamiran Roses tutorial

I used one of my all time favourite sentiment and die sets – The Happy Sayings Die and coordinating stamp set.
Lots of glitter on this one.  I really do love making Christmas cards, total glitter overload lol.

And here’s the video

Playfull Kittens

Hello!

For today's inspiration cards I have used the cute Playful Kittens - Sylvia Zet.

The cards are very easy to make...

I stamped the adorable cats on white cardstock,

and coloured them with Polychromos.

White cardbase, purple cardstock and then the image on top.

Last touch, put some twine on top of every card.

All four cats are so adorable, but I think I have a favorite, Cat with butterfly!
How about you guys which one is your favorite?

You will find the cute set in the Whimsy Stamp shop.

12 Days of Christmas Final Day 12 special guest Mindy Eggen - Oh What Fun

Welcome to the final day of Whimsy's 12 Days of Christmas blog celebration, we hope you have enjoyed all the special guests and inspiration along with the prizes and festivities.  We've had a great time and are thankful for each and every one of you.  The entire team at Whimsy Stamps wishes you and yours a joyous holiday and blessed New Year!

Don't forget to come back to the post HERE on 12/27/18 for the winners announcement.

And now for our final special guest post we're happy to have Mindy Eggen...

Welcome everyone! Today I'm sharing a fun slider card using stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps. Slider cards are super fun and this Santa from the Oh What Fun set was perfect for it!

I start out by stamping my images onto Neenah White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then coloring with my copic markers and cutting out with the coordinating dies. Next, I created my sky by using Chipped Sapphire and Faded Denim distress inks and spritzing with water.

Then, I created my slider piece. I die cut a hillside and the slot for the slider IN the hillside piece. Before I add dimension to the card, I stamp my sentiment to the bottom of the hillside.

I will then add foam tape around the edges of the hillside but being sure to leave room for my penny to move freely, which is what I will be using as the slider. I attach a small piece of foam tape to the middle of the penny, place that in my slider slot and attach Santa on the front side . It's also a good idea to run an antistatic powder tool around the slider slot and foam square so it slides easier.

I can then attach the tree to the back of the hillside piece and North Pole sign to the front. My distress piece of cardstock will attach to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. I attach a small white strip to the bottom so when my slider piece attaches, it will look like snow behind it. Finally, I attached the hillside with my sliding Santa.

I love how this really makes it look like Santa is dashing through the snow!

12 Days of Christmas Day 11 special guest Isha Gupta

Hello everyone! I am so thrilled to be a special guest for Whimsy Stamps today. Thank you Denise & Debbie for having me. I love their cute and adorable images so much and I am sharing two cards with you today :)

For my first card, I used the cute and adorable "Eleanor", stamped it on neenah solar white cardstock, simply colored in with copics. Applied some glitter and fluffy paste.

Here is a close-up to see all the texture and subtle shine.

For my 2nd. card, I used "Penguin Christmas Tree and Meowy Kittymas" stamps. This time I colored in the image using watercolors. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on vellum as I wanted to keep the focus of my card on this cute image :)

You can see the texture, gloss in the close-up photo.

Fun, Right!! I really enjoyed creating with these images. Here are the stamps I used.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a nice day :)
